What do you do??

So what do you all do with Fabric you don't no longer love? Do you give away? Do you sell it? I'm curious. As you all know I started revamping my sewing room once again. Today I pulled out a ton, I mean a ton of homespun fabric I used in dollmaking/quilting that is taking up much needed space. I've got plaids and solids as well. Then I started on another drawer of country colors filled up two huge paper bags of scraps, fat quarters & large pieces. Then I filled a leaf garbage bag filled with large pieces of batting. ( why I was keeping all of that I have no clue) Next I tackled one of my craft making drawers, another bag filled to the brim. I piled my extra sewing desk, plus the table that holds my copier high with stuff I really no longer want, which got me thinking what to do with it. Should I ebay it? Etsy it? give away to someone in need? yard sale it? Tomorrow I think I'll try to tackle my patterns/books. I look at some of this stuff and wonder why did I spend my money on that.. ggeesh I must have been out of my mind. Give me some idea's ladies... who know I may send something to someone if I love their idea...

Have a blessed day~~~~

Well lets see. there are lots of things you could do with it. One you could do a "Pay it Forward" box. Where you send it to someone, they take out what they want, put in what they don't want, and then send it to someone else.
You could fill priority flat rate boxes and either sell them, or give them away and have the person getting the pay you postage only, the large box flat rate box is only $14.95.
You could find a local guild or church that does a lot of charity quilt work, they always want and need donations to make quilts for the needy.
I have bought boxes of scraps and paid the postage only. I have also gotten pay it forward boxes, those are like Christmas for getting and giving. I also belong to a local guild that does a lot of charity stuff. So I know it is all fun and possible. Good Luck.
I also join quilt alongs to get rid of the stuff I won't use for myself, and if it is an ugly fabric, cut it up. If it is still ugly, you didn't cut it small enough. You will be amazed at how beautiful a quilt can look made out of a ton of really ugly fabrics.

Well I would be happy to take 100% cotton off your hands. We can deal!! I am in need of lights and darks. Have a project in mind.

For the other stuff. Take it to retreats with good price stickers on it, bargain, trade etc..anything to get it out of your hands. Some things I sell and some I just give away as I am done looking at it. Fling day on the group...ebay etc...all good ideas.

Our guild has a "sewing room sale" annually. You can find any and everything at it. I mostly take fabric as I am trying to pare down a 30+year stash that I won't live long enough to use. The money goes into the guild kitty for meeting room rent/getaway misc/Christmas party misc. Hardest thing for me is to not buy stuff back. LOL!!
